WorldScreen Press Release 13 August 2007
Aspect Film has granted Sky Movies the U.K. broadcast rights to its British comedy feature film Back in Business.
The company has also licensed the film’s worldwide in-flight rights to Los Angeles-based in-flight distributor Jetstream Pictures. Directed by Chris Munro, the $3-million film Back in Business sees an unlikely bunch of con artists go through a series of comical misadventures in a quest to steal Britain’s new space exploration buggy, which had been created to solve the planet’s energy problems and is sought after by foreign governments. The only person that stands in their way is Scotland Yard's worst detective, played by Dennis Waterman.
“The film boasts an array of British household names including Brian Blessed, Martin Kemp and Chris Barrie,” said Hugh Edwards, Aspect’s managing director. “The film was released theatrically and on DVD earlier this year and we are of course pleased to see Sky’s commitment to British films. Back in Business is rated PG and tested well with a young, family demographic. As such, it should sit well with Sky Movies’ daytime schedules.”
Aspect Film is a London-based film and TV production and sales company that was launched in January by Hugh Edwards.
